On February 14th, 2022 Joanne Person was aggressively and wrongfully arrested in her home at Coutts, Alberta. She was alarmed and confused to find her property swarmed with officers, and had no idea why they wanted to arrest her.
Over the last eleven months, Joanne suffered physical and emotional trauma from law enforcement, lost her employment as a teacher, and abandoned by many ‘friends’. Quickly new friends from the convoy and freedom movement stepped up to give support in all the ways they knew how.
Finally! Only days before her preliminary hearing, Joanne received the best news she could hope for. The charges were going to be dropped! After a brief appearance at the Lethbridge Courthouse today, January 16th, the judge officially declare charges dropped!
Today, we gratefully celebrate this win with her, and pray the others arrested will soon be free as well!
Thank you to all of those who stood in support for truth, and for the immense love and support for Joanne during this long and challenging year!
