James Sowery was a hero bringing firewood to the Milk River blockade during the February fire bans at the Coutts Freedom Protest. He was arrested and convicted, after unintentionally driving over of running over a pylon at a Milk River check stop upon leaving the protest, clearly a politically taget. James’ sentencing will be in the fall, and he plans to appeal the verdict.
James has been left struggling. Without a driver’s license he cannot continue his regular work to cover bills and legal fees. James is putting his craftsman skills to use by opening his own business to raise funds as he fights for justice and his freedom from political imprisonment. He creates live-edge peices and other well crafted items.
